Report: Milwaukee choice students outperforming peers

By School Choice Wisconsin Students in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program continue to outperform their public school peers, says a new report from the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL). Proficiency rates in private choice schools were 4.6% higher in English/language arts and 4.5% higher in math on average than proficiency rates in traditional public schools in Milwaukee, says the Apples to Apples report from WILL. The report draws on data from the state Department of Public Instruction’s WISEdash system for the 2020­–21 school year.
