School Choice Wisconsin is excited to share our new project designed to help Wisconsin families more easily explore private Choice schools across the state: NavigateWI.

NavigateWI will be a digital parent guide/magazine highlighting Wisconsin private Choice schools and helping families navigate the school search and enrollment process with confidence. Our goal is to create a trusted, parent-friendly resource that showcases the incredible opportunities available within school communities such as your own.

We are in the process of collecting school information for the magazine. Member schools have received a survey to help in this collection. See below for some FAQs about the project.

What is NavigateWI?

NavigateWI is a statewide, online guide that showcases private choice schools and provides families with clear, practical information about Wisconsin’s parental choice programs so they can explore and compare schools in one place.

 

How will my school’s information be used?

The information you provide will be used to build a school profile for your campus. The goal is to give parents a clear, accurate snapshot of your school so they can decide which schools to contact, tour, and apply to.

 

What kind of information are you asking schools to provide?

We are looking for practical details parents consistently ask about, such as: grade levels served, religious affiliation, location, transportation options, school hours, before- and after-care, extracurriculars, special programs, and basic contact information.

 

Is there a cost to participate?

There is no cost to be included in NavigateWI.

 

Can we update our information later?

We plan to update the magazine each year with a new edition. If you complete the survey and later realize there is something important to add or correct, please contact us to see if there is still time to integrate your change before publishing.

 

Who will have access to the final product?

The guide will be available to anyone with the link. Our primary audience is Wisconsin parents and caregivers exploring private Choice schools, but it will be open to the public and shareable by schools, community partners, and advocates. Member schools will be encouraged to share the guide on their own websites, newsletters, and social media channels so families can easily find it.

 

Will every school have the same type of profile?

All participating private Choice schools will be listed in the guide so families can see all of their options in one place. However, SCWA member schools will have the opportunity to share additional details and visuals through our survey to create a more complete, customized profile.

 

Who should complete the survey for our school?

We recommend that a principal, administrator, or designated staff member who is familiar with the school’s programming, schedule, and services complete the survey to ensure information is accurate.

 

How long will it take to complete the survey?

We estimate it will take 15-30 minutes to complete the survey.

 

When will NavigateWI launch?

September 2026. Our goal is to publish an updated edition of the guide each year, so families can use it as they plan for the upcoming school year. When the guide goes live, we will email participating schools with the link and promotional materials so they can easily share it with their own families and communities.
