BROOKFIELD, WI — Data released today by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) shows continued growth in the state’s private school parental choice programs. More than 63,000 students are enrolled across Wisconsin’s four programs—a new record.

“The success of Wisconsin’s parental choice programs continues to be demonstrated by those best positioned to evaluate them: parents,” said Ashley Czaja, president of School Choice Wisconsin. “This growth reflects families’ continued demand for educational options that meet their children’s individual needs and provide an environment where they can thrive.”

Enrollment across the four parental choice programs increased by 5.5% over the previous year. Both the statewide Wisconsin Parental Choice Program and the Special Needs Scholarship Program experienced particularly strong growth, with enrollment rising 10%.

The continued increase reflects the importance families place on having access to a range of educational opportunities and the freedom to select the setting they believe is best for their children.
