A new school in Milwaukee, WI

Recently, Milwaukee Lutheran High School announced the launch of their new middle school, set to open for the 2026-27 school year.

The school saw a need in their community to reach younger students to see greater success at the high school level. Milwaukee Lutheran is one of six current schools part of the Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee (LHSAGM), and the newest addition will be located on Milwaukee Lutheran’s campus, while operating independently.

LHSAGM leadership sees this as an opportunity to expand curricular offerings for middle school students and bring in more content-specialized teachers, something that many grade schools lack the resources to do. The ideal pathway for middle schoolers will be to continue at the high school campus, although the two programs will have their own administration and faculty. The curriculum will be mapped from 6th through 12th grade to better facilitate the transitions between grades. Ultimately, the goal is to scaffold younger students toward academic achievement.

This comes at a time when other schools in the association are refreshing their identity to tailor each brand to the character of the school. LHSAGM schools may be connected by mission and vision, but each has their own flair. Milwaukee Lutheran’s new tagline, “Where Love Rules and Leaders Rise”, embodies their desire to foster Christ-centered leaders. Now, even more students will have the opportunity to personify this vision.
