Wisconsin Act 89: Policy and Training Requirements for Communication between Employees/Volunteers and Students On March 6, 2026, Governor Evers signed 2025 Wisconsin Act 89 into law. This new law requires all Wisconsin schools, including private schools, to adopt a policy and provide annual trainings for governing school employee and volunteer communications with students. The policy must be in effect by September 1, 2026.
